Eliminate bubbles in resin casts (without a pressure pot).

Besides emails about photo transfers, questions related to resin casting have to be what I answer most each week. I got to realizing I was typing the same tips and tricks over and over, and felt like it was worth making a video on the topic.

Here’s you some direct links to specific tips. See if there’s one you maybe aren’t familiar with, and check it out:

2:16 JOOG your molds, tilt + tap
4:52 Mold VIBRATION
5:22 POWDER your molds
6:35 Resin PRE-SHAKE
7:16 Resin HIGH-POUR
7:55 SCREEN trick
8:37 FINGERTIP (and toothpic) technique
11:22 INJECT resin

Almost every time I make a video, I realize there were things I should have mentioned. One example here is with vibration: You absolutely can use a shoulder massager or even a palm sander (with the abrasive paper removed) and get a similar result.

Hope you enjoy these tips!

Thank you, ThaCrafsman. You are always so kind and empathetic. I’m so grateful for your courage to battle the negativity in the world with such honesty, patience, and good humor. Bless your heart. <3

Oh, I think we're about the same age! All your toys, I had, too! (Well, my brother had the action figures, but I played with them more than he did! ^_^) I always loved the Weebles. They wobble, but they don't fall down! (I bet a ball bearing could make a Weeble. Hmmm…. If you try that, please make a video? 🙂 )

In summary: thank you for being awesome.
