A nod to the Book It era…

Anyone who was in or around school age in the 80s-90s will likely remember the Book It era sponsored by Pizza Hut. Those unfamiliar with it…basically, it was a push to get kids to read more by rewarding them with a Book It sticker or button along with a coupon for a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut. That might not sound like anything special nowadays, but let me tell you – a Pizza Hut personal pan pizza back then… the warm lighting, Italian feel, stained glass lampshades, the overwhelming smell of comfort being baked, a sizzling pizza all to yourself, sprinkled with those crushed red pepper flakes and the Golden Axe arcade game in the corner, beckoning you to come challenge it. That was something special.

We wanted to offer something that would bring back those warm memories while also encouraging you to Keep On Steady Craftin’. The stickers are 3″ and are the same quality as all the other stickers in our shop while the buttons are made in house by Crafsmama herself. We had a lot of fun on this project and even included a small surprise. 😉 We hope you like them as much as we do!
